Established in 1947 by Joe Emsley, Emsley Crane Hire began life as a 24 hour vehicle recovery firm based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. A strut-jib crane was soon purchased to provide more versatile lifting capabilities and demand for its use on local construction sites led to the official birth of Emsley Crane Hire. After the inclusion of both Joe Emsley's sons, Peter and John in the early 1970's, the company really started to make its mark within the industry. From this beginning sprang further crane purchases and the acquisition of a secondary yard in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. This was soon followed by a move to their purpose built head office in Harrogate to accommodate the ever growing fleet of cranes. As the industry evolved over the years, so did Emsley's fleet of cranes, so that today Emsley Crane Hire is proud to run a dynamic fleet of cranes, including Truck Mounted Cranes, All Terrain Cranes, Mobile Tower Cranes and City Cranes. From operating a small crane hire firm based in Harrogate, Emsley Crane hire has grown to a large company supplying cranes to all four corners of Britain, whilst still retaining its core family values. In the twenty first century Emsley Crane Hire continues to set the bar in professionalism within crane hire and provides a quality service to the construction, civil engineering, heating and ventilation, maintenance and repair, machinery installation and industrial sectors.
